Writing, writing, writing. Our 8th grade class is grinding their pencils down to a nub and warming up their keyboards pounding out persuasive speeches. We were assigned this and must decide on a topic we feel strongly about to persuade our class our viewpoint on it is the right one. We have many topics from abortion to smoking and I can’t wait to see what the writers think about them. Not only were speeches being written, but also a team of 8th grade students formed by Gary Hostert was absent that day to attend a quiz bowl and ended up falling short at finals out of 21 teams. Over all, Wednesday has gone pretty well. Once again, this is Bailey Krieger giving you a look into another day at OHS.
