It’s a new year; twenty-twelve is here! Here at OHS we’re getting back in the swing of things and are geared up for another great semester. In English class today we discussed descriptive writing. We did this to prepare for our state descriptive writing test in February. Some topics we discussed and went over were: similes and metaphors as well as sensory details. Mrs. Troester and Mrs. Morrow split us up into groups to do some practice worksheets. We hope to do well on this assessment so we can show our state that OHS has the best 8th grade writers. Besides the fairly warm weather nothing has been too bizarre this week at OHS. Monday, January 9th will be the start of the first full week of school for 2012. We’re making it happen!
