Wednesday, 10-26-11

by Sarah Devall

Another day, another dollar!  We all wish it were like this in the everyday life of an OHS 8th Grade student!  Today in our 8th grade English class we continued our practice with simple sentences.  We did two exercises with ten problems each on compound sentences and compound predicates.  Mrs. Troester helped us through this.  After we finished, we talked about the revision process for our Patriot’s Pen Essays with Mrs. Morrow.  During the rest of fourth period we were arranged in groups to get feedback on the good and bad things about our essays.  The day didn’t end there though.  We also at lunch in our lovely cafeteria and had a choice of mini corndogs, cavatina, or yogurt.  Along with this, we had a choice of corn and a salad bar with a few fruit and veggie selections.  Fall Break is quickly approaching and everyone is super excited to have a day off of school!  As the day comes to an end, we have all learned something new.  Whether it is how to do the Pythagorean Theorem or not to eat the yellow snow, we accomplished it.  We do work.
